This blog was originally set up as an assignment for my University studies, a degree in Information Systems. Since then, I’ve changed the site’s domain and designed the Wordpress theme – it provides a nice playground to tinker with new ideas!
I have an interest in online technology and the opportunities it presents for businesses – big and small. I’m proficient with web technologies including as HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP and MySQL, and have studied computer science units covering topics such as Assembly Programming (Motorola 68K), Human Computer Interaction and Java Programming.
I currently work for a large magazine publisher and in my spare time have developed two multisport event calendars known as EventList for Australia and New Zealand.
When not working in front of a computer screen, I’ll most likely be spending time with my wife Simone, or training for triathlons and other endurance events. I’ve completed five Ironman distance triathlons (9:40 PB), have won state age-group titles and am a former member of the Victorian Institute of Sport triathlon squad. A dormant passion of mine is coarse angling, introduced to me by my grandfather in England. I won the Australian Junior Championship in the 90’s, and look forward to exploring more UK lakes and rivers one day down the track.
If you’ve gotten this far, thanks for reading. I hope some of the content on this site is of interest or help to you.
Cheers,
Tim
